Trevenna Jodie and Grant

Trevenna was exactly what they were looking for!

Jodie and Grant chose Trevenna for their wedding they just automatically fell in love, even at the start of the little driveway down to the barns, the surroundings are breathtaking.

“I loved how intimate it felt and that was exactly what we were looking for! As well as just how beautiful each individual barn is. All of the staff are just so helpful as well, nothing was ever to much trouble.”

Laura Buffery Photography

“We loved her style of photography, natural moments caught throughout the day! She really captured us as a family as well which was more then I could of wished for. Laura was so helpful from start to finish, she is simply lovely I would recommend her to anyone.”

A rustic theme

The theme for their day had a rustic cosy feel, Jodie chose all neutral colours she wanted the colour scheme to be soft. To achieve the cosy feeling Jodie also chose to have a lot of candles and fairy lights, this suited their bonfire night wedding perfectly.

"It all worked so well with it being a cold November day."

Escential Blooms

Jodie chose Escential Blooms and her flowers were beautiful. She had a round hand tie bouquet in a slightly loose style with a gorgeous mix of white Roses, Peonies, nude quicksand roses and majolica spray roses, astrantia, White Bouvardia, soft lisianthus and small amounts of white gypsophila throughout as well as Senecio, eucalyptus, pittosporum and Brunia. The stems were bound in champagne/taupe ribbon and secured using pearl headed pins

"The bridesmaids had the same just on a smaller scale."

The flower girls held beautiful hoops with a cluster of roses attached to the bottom, Jodie also made hoops herself to decorate the venue and weaved eucalyptus around them. The centrepieces were created using the same flowers as the bouquet placed in cute rustic jars on top of a wood slice, with scattered pine cones giving the styling an autumnal feel.

The Dress

Jodie chose a fitted lace dress, she always knew she wanted a fitted dress with lace!

“I purchased my dress from wed2b, having a family I knew I didn’t want to blow a massive amount on a dress but still wanted to have a dress I loved. As soon as I put my dress on I just knew it was the one and the reaction from my family confirmed this also! I didn’t have to make do because of my budget I still found my perfect dress as a reasonable price.”

She did however have my dress re-designed at the back. It originally came with a full back piece but Jodie always had a vision of a backless dress.

“I was recommended Jenna from Sew Jennarous and she got exactly what I wanted straight away, she made my dress just that even more perfect, she is simply amazing at what she does!”

All the bridesmaid dresses wore beautiful nude gowns with a sequin top half which looked beautiful in the candle lights and fairy lights.

Favourite part of the day

“Our favourite part of the day was when we done our first dance! We had our first dance music remixed and I think it just really captured us as a couple at that moment in time and we always have the music to listen to now and will take us right back to our day.”

Advice

“If I could give any couples planning a wedding any advice it would be to make sure you let you and your partner just soak up every single part of the day! And not worry about everyone else! It goes by so quickly."
