Trevenna Jen and Josh
- Venue: Trevenna
Trevenna took their breath away!
From the moment Jen and Josh made their way down the driveway to Trevenna they were breath taken by the genuine natural beauty of its location. Roaming countryside for as far as the eye can see, the beautiful Barns and most importantly their wedding coordinator, nothing and Jen means nothing was too much trouble.

Victoria Walker Photography
Their photographer on the day was Victoria Walker, they met Victoria at an Art of Weddings Wedding Show, and they both knew straight away that they had to book her.
"She is so humble and I don’t think she truly understands just how wonderful she is. She did not bombard us with a sales pitch, she did not need to either, her work spoke for itself."
Jen spent many many hours looking through bridal magazines, Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook Etsy and eeek! and she found a few suppliers through targeted adverts on social media, which really helped.
The dress!
"Wow, where to start?!"
Jen chose a Pronovias gown called Albania. It was the big princess dress of her dreams...she didn’t like at all when she first saw it! But once on...
"I felt like a queen in it and was very sad to take it off. It had a beautiful long train and weighed a lot! A lot of people were surprised by my choice and expected me to be in a slinky number. And at the end of the day, I was so relieved to know that Josh loved it too".

Favourite part the day
Jen lost her dad when she was young, and whenever she's particularly missing him or have been very upset a red admiral butterfly randomly appears in the house in whatever room she is in, it hovers around her until she notices it and sets it free. Josh never got to meet her dad but knew how important it was to have him as part of their day.
Josh arranged for Jen's dad's favourite song (You’ll Never Walk Alone) to start playing as she walked down to the arbour at Trevenna, there was a bottle of champagne waiting for them, Josh said a few personal words in honour of her dad and then he set free 50 red admiral butterflies. It was extremely emotional but special beyond words.
Top tip for brides
"There’s so many!!! Definitely be sure to try on all different styles of gowns, even the ones you really dislike! I really did not like my dress when I first saw it and it ended up being the one!"
Top tip for grooms
"Just be there for your fiancé, she’ll need you, even if she doesn’t say she does"
