Amy and Alex chose Trevenna because they felt the ceremony venues were beautiful, whether they got married outside under the arbour or inside in the garden room.

Personal and elegant

Both wanted to keep the wedding very personal and elegant. Wanting to bring the outside in they chose foliage and natural wood which complemented the beautiful surrounding and the venue itself.

“We kept our colour pallet quite simple using lots of greenery and white flowers. Natural candlelight, personal touches like our Polaroid photos and lots and lots of flowers were really important to us.”

Laura Buffery

Amy and Alex would readily agree that they are not one for pictures normally and are not comfortable with having their photographs taken. Laura Buffery was the perfect choice so friendly she made this camera shy couple feel at ease.

“We loved working with our wedding photographer, Laura Buffery. We decided to not have a videographer so our photographs became even more important. Using natural and candid shots, Laura managed to capture our day perfectly.”

The wedding feast

“We also have to mention the food! The food produced by Trevenna was delicious and definitely exceeded our expectations. It was a key talking point throughout the day by many of our guests. Who doesn’t love a Cornish pasty at the end of the night!”

Top tip

“My top tip would be if friends and family offer to help, take them up on it! Not only will it take some of the pressure off you but it will make your guests feel more involved. The night before our wedding, I had my Mum, bridesmaids and girlfriends all making up place settings, hanging photographs and decorating the venue. It was so much fun - the champagne definitely helped!”

favourite part

“Our favourite part of the wedding was during and after the dessert course. The formalities of the day were over, the speeches were all fantastic and we were able to mill around and chat to all of our guests. The garden room was so open and light and it was a joy to watch all of our friends and family chatting and mixing with each other. The party had definitely started! We also have to say that the staff were fantastic - so friendly and accommodating that many of our guests commented on how effortlessly everything ran.”
