Rachel and Chris both had the same view of a wedding. Simple, fuss-free and outdoors! They had attended a family friends birthday at Tregedna the year before their day and just loved it.

"The venue was a simple pick for us. It had to be Tregedna! With most of our friends and families living in Falmouth, it was not only the perfect location but a beautiful setting, a completely blank canvas for you to make your unique perfect day and close to the beach too."

They also loved the fact that the whole place was theirs for the weekend, allowing guests to stay in the dormitories or camp, which really allowed for an entire weekend of celebrations with their loved ones.

"Liz was so lovely and helpful even managed to pull together some very last minute hay bale seating when I realised I hadn't organised enough seating for our guests."

"What a fabulous photographer at an amazing price! Tim captured our day perfectly. Tim blended into the background and captured our day in the natural way we asked for. He is a really lovely guy who is willing to listen to what you would like and was so quick at getting the photos back to us! We also received a lovely wooden memory stick with our photos on it."

The theme was laidback and all about the party!

It was so important for Rachel and Chris to just have all their family and friends together in one place, eating great food, enjoying some drinks and ALOT of dancing!

Rachel and Chris didn't have the traditional sit-down meal; instead, they went for a more casual approach and arranged outside their seating areas.

"We had a small marquee with a couple of Tregdna's tables, picnic tables and blankets on the lawn and hay bales for our guests"

The Wedding feast by Katie's Cornish Hot Pots

After the ceremony and speeches, everyone enjoyed a buffet all cooked and backed by Rachels Mum! In the evening, they had paella by Katie's Cornish Hot Pots.

"A great catering company, they offer lots of different street food options, but we both love paella and felt it was the easiest choice to eat standing up and in our casual setting. It was the most delicious paella! We were so lucky with the weather. What I had in my mind pulled off perfectly. There was simply no option for rain!"

THE DRESS

Rachel found her perfect dress at Wed2B in Exeter, the perfect dress to match the wedding theme, simple and natural. A fitted floor-length lace dress with a low back which she accessorised with a long back necklace.

FRIENDS AND FAMILY HELPED TO MAKE THEIR DAY!

"For my makeup and hair by I asked my lovely friend Sjani. She is a local makeup artist in Falmouth who is amazing at doing the most beautiful and natural hair and makeup. My talented Dad did my gorgeous bouquet and flower arrangements."

THE GROOM

Chris wore navy chinos, a white shirt, navy bowtie and a cream blazer - the blazer he picked up from the DPD depot the morning of the wedding! Now that's cutting it fine!

Favourite part

"Absolutely can't pick a favourite part of our day. We had so much fun from start to finish. Tregedna really was the perfect place to make our wedding our own. It was the most relaxed day with our friends and family. Exactly what we wished for."

Top tips

"Don't stress it's going to be perfect, whatever happens! People will remember how much fun they had, not the little things like the timings all off, whether the placemats matched the decor etc. Just get family and friend together and have the best day."
