Choosing the Perfect Venue
"We knew we wanted a manor house with lots of scenery".
"As soon as we saw pictures of Tredudwell Manor we loved it. When we visited, it was the one for sure! Beautiful green land, a wildflower meadow, a cliff top nearby, and a stunning manor house with a modern venue. It was everything and more."
Capturing the Moments: Cat Uglow Photo & Film
"Cat’s photography was the style I wanted—bright, colourful, natural, and relaxed.
"I saw a video that Cat had done and it blew me away. It was everything I was looking for in a videographer". "We had a pre-wedding shoot with our two children and we were so nervous. But Cat made us feel so relaxed, and the photos turned out to be some of my favourites."
Outstanding Suppliers. Several suppliers stood out for this couple.
Paul Haywood, Saxophonist
"He played beautiful romantic songs for our ceremony and classic, fun, and upbeat music throughout the day. He finished with Ibiza classics in the evening."
Sweet William Floral Company
"Affordable, talented, and knowledgeable. She delivered bouquets, buttonholes, and 11 stands inside. Every single one was made to perfection."
Jamie Beetham Catering
"Incredible isn't the word. Jamie and his team created an amazing menu and even a prosecco tower for us."
Smashed Tomato Pizza
"Our evening pizza truck served 120 homemade, wood-fired pizzas. They created a lovely atmosphere."
Little Eden Entertainment
"We had a huge white bouncy castle for the kids and adults, a selfie booth, big Mr. and Mrs. letters, a sweet cart, and a donut wall. Everything was set up professionally and cleanly."
The Dress
"I knew I wanted a 'Made With Love' bridal dress.
I found a boutique in St Ives, 'St Ives Bridal.' Tiffany, who runs it, was so lovely and accommodating. I tried on eight dresses and found exactly what I wanted."
Accessories
"I chose pearl long earrings from 'Made With Love,' also from St Ives Bridal."
A Classy and Simple Theme
The theme was "classy, clean, and simple." The couple chose a palette of white, gold, and sage with big, beautiful fresh flowers, including greenery, white peonies, and roses. "Less is more," they emphasized, creating a chilled, upbeat, and fun vibe.
Favourite Moments
"That's a tough question!
I loved the ceremony, walking down the aisle with our saxophonist playing our song. That was magical. But also, having Pimms and Prosecco while children laughed and danced to the saxophone player in the background."
Advice for Future Couples
1. Have a clear idea of your theme and vibe and stick to it.
2. Check out smaller businesses. My best suppliers were often from word of mouth or small businesses.
3. Less is more.
4. Make lots of lists and stay organised.
5. Be ruthless. You cannot please everyone.
6. If anyone says you don't need 100 donuts, ignore them and order that donut wall!
This beautiful Cornwall wedding story offers inspiration and practical advice for anyone planning their own special day. With the right venue, talented suppliers, and a clear vision, you can create a magical and unforgettable celebration.
