Kim and Matt absolutely loved their venue. It ticked all the boxes!
The couple chose Tredudwell and on the day the weather was stunning, which meant their guests could enjoy the venue inside and out. The children ran around on the lawn, playing with the garden games whilst the grown-ups were drinking their Pimms and Peroni, eating canapes whilst listening to Steve Dott sing.
As soon as we were engaged, they both wanted to get married within the year, and it had to be in Cornwall so finding the venue was first on the list. As soon as they saw Tredudwell, they fell in love and knew it was the perfect place for their day.
"It ticked all our boxes from being all in one place and could fit all our guests in. Tredudwell is a beautiful wedding venue, its set-in beautiful countryside, that’s not too far away from the sea."
It also helps when you have hosts like Valarie and Justin, who have a passion and love for their venue. Host that makes sure every couple has an amazing day.
Nothing was too much trouble
"Nothing seemed too much trouble for them, they always answered any questions we had and were eager to help"
Photography and Videography were very important for this couple, all couples want to be able to look back at their photos and video to see their amazing day and how beautiful everything was.
They chose Dan Ward Photography
Kim first met Dan Ward Photography at a school friends wedding. After seeing how beautiful her photos were she knew she also wanted Dan as her wedding photographer.
"Dan really knows how to create natural, beautiful un-posed photos"
Kim spent a lot of time looking on the internet for a videographer, and then she found Babalu Film's, she showed Matt and they both knew they had to book Chris to film their day. Chris takes time to tailor each film to every couple's preferences.
"Seeing our wedding photos and highlight reel and feature film for the first time was amazing! Both Dan Ward Photography and Babalu Film are Dan and Chris were both friendly and down to earth, talented gentleman. It was so lovely for us to be able to relive the day, and see parts of our wedding that we didn't see on the day."
a flower themed day
The theme for the day began when they asked Katie from Osotwee to design their wedding stationery, and it was all about flowers. The day was a colourful flower themed day. So many flowers were dotted around the venue beautiful flowers designed by Anna, from Anna's Flower Barn. Kim loved Anna’s style of work and the flowers exceeded her expectations.
"I knew when I met Anna, at her Flower Barn that she really understood flowers, she completely put us to ease. I took along some pictures of the flowers and style of bouquets we were looking for, we knew straight away that Anna was the right fit to be able to achieve this. She did an incredible job, even when I asked for last minute additions!"
Anna also knows Tredudwell really well and can work together with Valerie to make the venue look just simply stunning and every couple's dream come true!
Kim and Matt continued the flower theme with their beautiful wedding cake made by the very talented Monica at Sweet Thought Cake Designs.
Being big Italian food lovers one main priority for the day for Kim and Matt was making sure their guests were well fed and had enough welcome drinks and drinks on the table.
Tredudwell recommended Richard at Couch’s Catering, having worked with Tredudwell on numerous occasions. Recommendations like this really help couples and Kim and Matt had 100% trust that Richard at Couch’s Catering would be amazing.
"We’ve been told on lots of occasions that our guests loved our food."
Kim and Matt met Richard from Couch’s catering and spent a lot of time talking through what food they love, their love for Italy and Italian food, Kim's love for steak and Matt’s passion for fish. They decided on the menu, and before they knew it, Richard had created it there and then and they were able to try each of the dishes before the big day!
"As our menu was tailored for us, from our canapes, to the Italian antipasti starter, Fillet steak and roasted cod main to our trio of desserts, we couldn’t pick which was our favourite."
The dress!
Kim only had 6 months before the big day so after choosing the venue the dress was next on the agenda! Kim's bridesmaids had already chosen their dresses from Amanda K for, so she knew that’s where she wanted to start.
"I tried on about 15 dresses before I found the ‘one’, it was actually one I had at first said no too, so my advice would be to have an open mind, try a range of different styles, as you might be surprised like me! My dress was called Emma by Maggie Sottero"
Kim complimented her dress with a beautiful cathedral length 2 tier veil, drop earrings from Liberty in Love and her something borrowed and something blue came from her bridesmaids - a hair clip and a garter from their wedding days!
Whenever we have been asked, it is always hard to know what our favourite part of the day was, to be honest, we both loved all of our day! It was so lovely to be able to see everything that we organised come together to make it so beautiful and a wedding day that was just relaxed for us and our guests.
Top Tip
Everyone told us how quickly the day would go, and we really didn't realise how fast! our top tip would be to take time to enjoy it and appreciate all your hard work.
