Tredudwell Heather and Jonny
- Venue: Tredudwell Manor
Heather and Jonny had the most incredible day!
They worked so hard to make it personal with everything they liked and invited everyone they loved to be there to celebrate the day.
Heather decided on a 'rustic' themed day with blush and navy colour scheme wanting the day to seem informal with a few traditional choices.
On the day Heather woke up at 4 am, with her bridesmaids and mum at Tredudwell Manor, she was too excited to sleep!
favourite part of the day
For Heather it was the ceremony, it felt so intimate, it was what it was all about for her and her husband Jonny. To say their vows to each other in front of a room full of all the people they both care about was something they will never forget.
The newly-weds and guests then drove to Tredudwell Manor to enjoy the whole afternoon and evening at the beautiful venue. Dinner wasn't until 5 pm, so the guests had time for outdoor games, eating nibbles, drinks, and photos.
As soon as they found Tredudwell Manor they knew it was the one
Heather and Jonny looked online at a lot of venues and some were ridiculously expensive or didn't quite have the right feel for what they wanted. They then found Tredudwell Manor online and immediately fell in love with it, they booked an appointment to see it and when they viewed, they couldn't hold in their excitement the whole way around the venue.
"It was perfect. Light and airy, the right size, a breathtaking setting and Valerie and Justin made us feel so welcome. We wanted a rustic but comfortable venue that was big enough for all our guests and this venue ticked all the boxes."
The weather was stunning all day which was a relief and it helped all the guests feel more relaxed being able to use the whole venue inside and outside.
The wedding feast was amazing, consisting of slow roasted pulled pork shoulder, nut roast, artisan breads, homemade coleslaw, crispy roast potatoes and Mediterranean vegetables all catered by Little Gem Catering. The desserts were made by all their friends and family.
their suppliers were recommendations from either friends or from Valerie at Tredudwell Manor
They were both so glad we went with recommendations because everything went so smoothly on the day and everything was stunning!
The Ceremony
Without a doubt was their most favourite. It was the most intimate part of the day and it felt so authentic and real. It was what the day was about for Heather and Jonny, she felt so happy walking down the aisle seeing everyone she loved and care about with smiles on their faces.
Heather's sister in law is a professional photographer, so we naturally thought she'd like to photograph the wedding, however, she was due to give birth a month after the wedding so they chose one of her best friends, Laura Davis at Love Boat Photography to photograph their wedding instead. Her work is documentary style and beautifully natural which they loved and she captured all the happy moments for Heather and Jonny to look back on after the day.
The Dress
Heather's dress was made by a designer from Modbury called Michele Ann May. It was one of the last dresses available as she was moving on to upholstery after 30 years in the wedding dress industry. Heather had tried on so many dresses in lots of different shops and hadn't found the right one for her figure, they were either too embellished or too heavy looking. Heather wanted it to be understated, practical and comfortable to move and dance in. As soon as she tried the dress on she knew it was the one, it was delicate, elegant and she loved with the low back design with the Chantilly French lace.
Heather loves to dance, so the couple chose to have a Ceilidh in the evening to get everyone up dancing, young and old!
After all the celebrations the couple had a sparkler send off down the steps and off to the manor house to our Bridal Suite. The most perfect send off!
Top tip for brides
Enjoy your day! Take a moment to take it all in. There will be hiccups on the day, but you just have to keep the main thing, the main thing and remember that you are getting married and that's all that matters. On the day, relax and don't feel pressured to catch up with everyone, they are there to celebrate your day with you. Whilst planning learn to delegate so it takes the stress of it off your shoulders. Heather couldn't have done it without her incredible bridesmaids and family!
Top tip for the grooms
Listen to the bride!! Joking…but do it.
