Wedding Businesses Lift Spirits of Disappointed Couples

At eeek! HQ we have been busy – we were asked to be part of a new venture called Get Wed Online…

The Team!

eeek! has partnered with three other Cornish Wedding Businesses and all have come together to lift the spirits of disappointed brides and grooms from all over the World. This is for those couples who have had to cancel or postpone their wedding due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Creative wedding blogger, Marie from eeek! – that’s me…has partnered with Wedding and event planners Rebecca Edwards and Hazel Parsons from Out of the Ordinary Weddings, the award-winning team of Cornish Celebrants, Nicola and Denise, and talented videographer Richard from I do Film Weddings

Our virtual ceremonies will allow couples to mark the occasion on their planned wedding date!

Having all spent the last few weeks helping our couples to postpone, cancel and re-arrange their wedding plans – plans that many couples have spent the last two years on and not surprisingly many have been in tears dealing with the enforced change of date.

Hazel had the idea that somehow their special date could be still be celebrated – virtually. The idea for Get Wed Online was born. Hazel created the team, and now together we want to bring some joy to our couples during this difficult time.

Turn a day of disappointment, into a uniquely memorable one

Whilst the ceremony isn’t legally binding, our virtual ceremonies conducted by professional celebrants will allow couples to mark the occasion of their planned wedding date, and if they wish they can share the ceremony with friends and family. This could turn a day, potentially one of sadness and disappointment, into a uniquely memorable one. Even couples separated by circumstances can enjoy a virtual celebration to mark their day. Every couple will have the opportunity to have an edited highlights video of their celebration.

The celebrations do not stop there!

We will also facilitate other events such as birthday parties, proposals, renewal of vows or anniversaries. As these are such unusual times with family members potentially having to stay apart, we have designed a celebration especially for them, our Family Ties ceremony.

‘Win Your Wedding Competition’ for Key Workers

Given the current sacrifices our Key Workers are making to keep us safe and well, we all felt that we would like to take this opportunity to give something back and say ‘Thank You’! Once a month, the ‘Win Your Wedding Competition’ for Key Workers will be run and the winner will receive a free online ceremony. Key Workers can either nominate themselves or can be nominated by a friend, colleague or the wider public. The winner will be presented with the Friends and Family package from the Get Wed Online website.
