Trenderway a super quirky, character-packed farm
Natalie and Stuart both knew they wanted a laid-back, farm barn wedding so when they found Trenderway, it immediately looked like the perfect venue for them!
“Having paid an initial visit and meeting with Jacqueline, we fell in love with it so arranged a follow-up visit with our families”
Natalie would describe Trenderway as super quirky, character-packed farm with a stunning barn the perfect place for an intimate wedding whilst allowing for generous numbers and luckily on the family visit everyone adored it as much as Natalie and Stuart did so the decision was easy.
“With an adjoining courtyard complete with log fire, overhanging blossom trees and rolling Cornish hills in the backdrop, it’s idyllic”
Trenderway also offers on-site accommodation, for family and friends, and this made it so much more than ‘just’ a wedding for Natalie and Stuart it was a gathering of all their favourite people in one, beautiful location for the whole weekend.
“Making lifelong memories. SO special!”
Natalie works at Idenna Creative with two incredible photographers who offered to take the wedding photos
“They were amazing on the day and we couldn’t have asked for better pictures.”
theme or vibe of the day
“We didn’t really have a theme - although, I was inspired by gyspy/ folk styling which really suited the backdrop of the farm.”
They wanted to “bring the outside in” so everything was very natural - woodland-inspired, lots of greenery, foliages, gypsophila Natalie will happily admit that she became a bit obsessed with pampas grass and dreamcatchers!
“I also chose white peonies for my bouquet. We kept the colour palette themed around pastel pink, grey and gold”
The wedding team at Trenderway
“We were so lucky - they were ALL amazing! Jacqueline, Jade, Sheri and all the team at Trenderway were unbelievable and they make everything so easy. Thanks to them, everything on our day went perfectly, they’re the dream team!”
Natalie found her dress on the sale rail at St Ives Bridal Room.
“It was the first one I tried on, I tried two others but went straight back to the original. I had browsed, chosen, purchased and left the shop within 30 minutes!”
The Designer was ‘Watters’, the dress had a puddle train, a silk pastel pink lining and ivory, macramé lace which is like nothing Natalie had seen before.
“The owner Tiffany is incredibly knowledgable and helpful - she organised my alterations, chose my veil and was on-hand for any questions. Amazing place!”
Natalie chose simple fresh-water Pearl Earrings and a gold Pearl Back Drop necklace which complimented the low back of her dress.
fave part of the day
“We both agree that the main Church Service was our favourite part of the day. We were lucky enough to get married at Lanhydrock, Bodmin, it was a warm, sunny day in June and the grounds looked absolutely gorgeous.
We both felt so humbled to be surrounded by our favourite people with many of them travelling so far to be there - even Australia (shout out to Luanne and Jenna!) It’s an amazing feeling having all your friends and family in one place to celebrate your marriage - we both felt so blessed.
Walking back down the aisle as a married couple with the whole congregation cheering for us was pretty special!! The whole day was just amazing.”
top tips and advice
"I remember being told to choose two or three things that mattered the most - for us, it was good food, good music and to have accommodation for family and friends.
Unless you have an unlimited budget, you really can’t do everything so choose to spend your money on the main things you care about!
Another top bit of advice is not to stress too much about things that don’t matter. It’s so easy to get caught up in the tiny details and spend ridiculous amounts of money but when you break it down, all you should worry about is you and your partner having the best day together 🙂
Don’t fall victim to the ‘traditions’ of weddings and do it your way."
