Tregedna Weddings Morwenna and Richard

Tregedna Weddings was the blank canvas venue that Morwenna and Richard had been looking for

A venue that allowed them to add lots of nice personal touches to their day that they had planned.

"Tregedna Weddings also allowed us to choose our own caterers, which was important to us as with some other venues, the only option was expensive in-house catering with few choices."

Relaxed and personal

Their day was relaxed and personal, and they did this by incorporating all the memories they have shared together as a couple. Morwenna even made 1000 origami paper cranes as the backdrop for their ceremony. Japan is their favourite place they have travelled together, and paper cranes are a Japanese tradition that brings good luck.

"I made them out of lots of different coloured origami paper and wrapping paper, so it was very colourful. I used lots of colours throughout the wedding, including the flowers. I didn't really have a colour scheme; I wanted everything to be as fun, relaxed and as informal as possible."

The BBQ Wedding Feast

"We chose to have a BBQ provided by Kerra's Catering because we love the informal atmosphere of having a BBQ with friends and family. There were lots of lovely options to choose from and great side dishes and salads. All the guests told us they loved the food and said it was some of the best wedding food they'd had."

Flowers from Clowance

Morwenna bought all the flowers from Clowance Farm, made the bouquets herself, and filled the jars on the tables.

"I loved the flowers we bought as they looked wild and natural rather than being too 'done', which really suited the style of our day."

The Dress

"I didn't want to spend too much on my dress, so I bought an ex-display dress and had it altered to fit. It was much, much cheaper, which left more money for the honeymoon."

For accessories, Morwenna wore flowers in her hair and flip-flops on her feet.

"I'm not a high-heel girl and wanted to be able to dance all night."

Favourite part of the day

"My favourite part of the day was having the meal with friends and family. My husband's favourite part of the day was the same. Good food shared with friends and family."

Top tips

"I was very nervous on the day and found it hard to relax, I know it's easier said than done, but my main advice to other couples would be just to try and enjoy it as much as you can."
