Tredudwell Manor Karen and Ian
Tredudwell Manor a
When Karen and Ian got engaged in October 2018 they knew they wanted a wedding in Cornwall so they started to look at venues some they knew and a few they found by chance amongst those was Tredudwell Manor.
“I had walked that coast path so many times as a child but had no idea that this hidden gem was there.”
From the moment they arrived at Tredudwell on a wet and windy day in November 2018 they knew that it was where they wanted to get married.
“Tredudwell is clearly Valerie and Justin’s pride and joy; their enthusiasm and knowledge leave's you feeling in very safe hands. The setting is so beautiful that it speaks for itself, every little detail has been planned to perfection and makes planning your perfect wedding so easy. It really is a stunning, blank canvas to work with.”
Less than a year after first discovering Tredudwell, Karen and Ian woke to a gloriously sunny July day and the day they had planned went without a hitch.
An outdoor ceremony with amazing views, welcome drinks on the terrace, a lovely meal enjoyed in the Pavilion and a relaxed afternoon enjoying lawn games and Space Hopper races in the beautiful grounds before dancing the night away and finally enjoying a Mexican Feast.
“Hayley at Tredudwell described Ian’s beaming face as the “smile of the season”.
Arianna Fenton Photography
The knowledgeable team at Tredudwell gave Karen a list of tried and tested suppliers and on the list was Arianna. Karen and Ian really liked her relaxed, unobtrusive wedding photography style.
“Arianna was really happy to go with the flow and change plans when we were having too much fun to leave the party!! Arianna was with us all day and felt like one of our guests.”
She captured a wonderful memory of the day from start to finish, capturing the main events and some very special little moments, engaging many of their younger guests and even snapping the funniest part of the day…the Bride and Groom Space Hopper Race!
“When the photographs arrived in their special little memory box we were absolutely delighted.”
Hair! It had to be Karen's own hairdresser
Karen used her own hairdresser, Jess Mashford. Jess has been doing her hair for many years so there was nobody else she trusted for her big day.
“Jess was calm and adapted to the changing requests of three teenage bridesmaids without any worry at all!!”
Good Food from…
The Good Food Catering Company! Karen and Ian were delighted with their choice of caterer. Lucy helped them to plan the food a process that started by providing then with a huge choice of dishes they could choose from plus an option of asking for anything specific. They were delighted with all the help and guidance after all planning a wedding feast is such a big part of any wedding day.
“There was so much choice! The team on the day were fantastic skilfully catering for 130 guests, including special picnic bags for the children which they loved!
We cannot recommend the suppliers we chose highly enough – we just wish we could do it all again!”
Karen’s dress came from Prudence Gowns where Leanne helped her find ‘the one’. Karen was not sure what style would suit her but Leanne just knew. The beautiful dress chosen was by Sincerity.
“I could not have been happier, the dress was comfortable all day and I danced all night, loving the swirly skirt!!
The dress alterations
Anna from Anna's Sewing Room transformed the beautiful wedding dress Karen had chosen into the perfect dress for her. The alterations included shortening to fit her perfectly while not losing any length from the train.
“Anna is great fun, very hard working and a total perfectionist; she even kindly helped with some last-minute alterations to my Bridesmaid’s dress too.”
Favourite part of the wedding
“We enjoyed every moment of our special day… it was so relaxed and such good fun!”
“It might seem counter-intuitive but if you want a relaxed, informal wedding; planning is absolutely critical.
We also used Scripin Weddings App to gather together the photographs taken by our guests, this was a lovely way to share and relive memories.”
