Private Venue Claire and Ashley
Claire and Ashley wanted a classic country wedding, one that would reflect them as a couple and both knew they also wanted to get married outside.
Their photographer was Janssen from Cruz Photography who they met at a wedding fair.
"Cruz Photography were simply friendly from the off"
The couple knew they wanted documentary style photography for their day with a mix of group shots with the main wedding party, without it looking too staged. They also wanted to feel relaxed with their photographer.
"Cruz Photography were so innovative with their photos and we absolutely love them."
Pinterest helped Claire with her wedding planning she noticed a definite theme was emerging a theme she called ‘classic country’.
They wanted a rustic element but not too rustic - no sitting on bales of hay for this couple and their guests! The day had to be 'classic country' with a 'girly element' and Claire achieved the look she wanted with her colour scheme of pinks and creams.
Anna from Anna's Flower Barn was chosen for the wedding flowers. With her knowledge of flowers and wonderful suggestions, Anna helped Claire bring her vision together.
"I knew roughly want I wanted but wasn’t sure how it would all come together. We were so pleased with the flowers on the day and had some amazing comments from the guests too.
There is not one single thing I would change about my flowers or the process with Anna. Anna was easy to communicate with and nothing felt too much trouble. Me and my mum loved visiting Anna’s Barn and we are just sad that it’s all over!"
The dress. For Claire the dress was one of the most important parts of the wedding! She found her dress in The Bridal House of Cornwall.
"Their shop is like a dream! I felt like a princess and they made me feel so comfortable. Tasha especially could see what I wanted and found my dream dress for me.
From the moment I stepped into it and saw the train I knew it was the one and from that moment I didn’t want to take it off!"
The couple wanted to make the most of the beautiful grounds and decided to hire some games along with vases and log slices for the centrepieces and a hamper for the cards. The items they hired from Stargazey really brought their theme together and offered something unique to their day.
"Sam at Stargazey was so lovely and had such creative ideas. We could pick and choose what we wanted from the large collection of hire items. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Stargazey"
Top tips "Everyone told us how fast the day would go however we didn’t release how fast! Take time to enjoy it and relish each moment.
Take time out as a couple- we didn’t spend enough time just the two of us together!
Although it’s hard not to stress out, everything will come together if you do your research and choose recommended suppliers.
It’s the little things - the food we chose reflected us as a couple from date nights to family recipes. We even bought heel stoppers for the women in case it rained!
Although it was stressful at times I absolutely loved planning my wedding!"
