Pentillie Castle Kelly and Joe

A winter wedding at Pentillie Castle

Kelly and Joe had a beautiful winter wedding at Pentillie Castle, their theme was woodland and wintry with an emphasis on mistletoe, the colour was Port, giving a feeling of warmth

the views are outstanding

The couple chose Pentillie as their venue for many reasons, the views are outstanding and although the castle is large Kelly felt it still had a warm and homely feel and she fell in love with the Bathing Hut immediately. Pentillie Castle simply captured everything she wanted her winter wedding to be.

They selected florist Phillip Corps Flowers, who designed the most amazing bouquets and arrangements, bringing Kelly's dreams to life.

The bouquet was a gorgeously elegant hand-tied arrangement consisting of wintry floral and foliage. The flowers and foliage used were mistletoe, white gypsophila, silver brunia berries, green hydrangeas, hellebores (also known as the Christmas Rose) and silver grey eucalyptus.

The bridesmaids' bouquets consisted of hand-tied simple, beautiful white gypsophila. The groomsmen buttonholes were also made of gypsophila with lichen twigs.

A wedding in the beautifully romantic bathing hut

The beautifully romantic bathing hut at Pentillie was chosen for their ceremony and was decorated with a wintry door wreath made up of seasonal foliage and a mass of white gypsophila tied with a hessian bow.

The pillars outside were spiraled with an ivy garland. Inside the bathing hut, two of the beams either side of the entrance door were dressed with trailing ivy, gypsophila and mistletoe garlands. At the front of the bathing hut they had another garland above the window and storm lanterns with church candles, moss and dressed with delicate gypsophila heads lit the windows.
