A non-traditional wedding Photo shoot, capturing Cornwall’s natural coastal beauty

When Jen from Weddings Made in Cornwall decided to organise this styled shoot she envisaged it to be wild and natural in terms of the setting but something a bit quirky too.

Wanting to create the feel of an authentic wedding that was relaxed and non-traditional, a shoot that also captured Cornwall’s natural beauty, particularly the coastline.

A wedding can and should be just how you want it to be

This is what Jen say’s to every couple she meets who are planning their special day. If you have an idea of where you’d like to get married and how you’d like to do it, most things are possible; and a celebrant ceremony offers so much flexibility as to where your wedding takes place.

One by one Jen contacted her chosen suppliers starting with Arianna Fenton. Having previously worked with Arianna Jen just knew she’d capture the photo shoot beautifully and she certainly didn’t disappoint!

Finding the perfect venue

Jen also met with Anna from Wedding Flowers in Cornwall and discussed possible venues for the shoot. Whilst discussing different coastal locations Jen mentioned that Caerhays is a favourite spot of hers as she grew up near there. Anna mentioned The Old Coastguard’s Lookout. A quirky place with spectacular sea views. It was just perfect.

The Old Coastguard’s Lookout, Porthluney Cove and The Vean - Caerhays

Jen arranged a site visit and it was all she had hoped for. She also planned for some photos to be taken at The Vean, a gorgeous country house, which is also part of Caerhays Estate and the idyllic Porthluney Cove.

On the day of the photo shoot, all the suppliers met at The Vean, and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. Jen enjoyed seeing her initial concept come together with a team of like-minded and super talented wedding suppliers even the weather was perfect!
