David Blackshaw Photography
David was an early adopter of the more relaxed documentary style of wedding photography, capturing the essence of the day, with guests looking relaxed, happy and mostly unposed. Clients often say this relaxed approach makes them feel totally at ease being centre of attention for the day.
Throughout the day David will capture all the events as the day unfolds, plus those important small details that made the day uniquely yours. This is photo-journalism, documenting the whole day in a contemporary style.
You may still want those important formal moments captured too, along with some creative individual and group portraiture. They’ll be time too, normally shortly after the ceremony, to have fun together away from your guests. The style of these shots would have been discussed in advance but there’s always room for spontaneity… David says that more often than not, the very best shots are unplanned.
David has always loved working with black & white and will also provide you with a selection of your images in timeless monochrome, essential for those candid shots, plus some fashionable vintage Polaroid effects.
